NCF CKI in Vancouver, Canada
In June 2013, NCF CKI President Abigail Oakes and Vice President Melissa Marquez traveled to Vancouver, Canada for CKI's International Convention. They had the opportunity to meet CKI members from all over the world and share ideas about service and leadership.
"I really enjoyed travelling to Vancouver for CKI," Marquez said. "I learned a lot about our organization, service, and even got to see some pretty cool sights!"
Circle K International holds annual conventions at both the District (Florida) and International level.
NCF CKI Birthday Party
On Septmeber 23, New College of Florida's Circle K International club will be hosting its first birthday party!
The NCF CKI club was chartered in Fall 2012 by Abigail Oakes. A year later, the club is celebrating a great start to their life at New College with sweets and service!

NCF CKI has a new set of officers for the 2013-2014 school year. Officers were elected on Septemeber 23 and became "official" on September 29.

New College of Florida CKI is an award-winning club!
We were voted the "Birds of a Feather Flock Together" award.
This means that for the size of our club/school and for how young we are, we were recognized for how many members came out for the LTC weekend. Amanda Bragg, Casey Dodge, Kellie Cox and Melissa Marquez proudly represented NCF.

Thanks to everyone who came out for Miracle League!
A big turn out of CKI members- and NCF staff- volunteered their time to play some baseball with some pretty awesome "buddies." We hope to continue a great relationship with Miracle League during the upcoming Spring semester.

So proud of our CKI club! We went "trick-or-treating for hunger" on Halloween and collected an impressive donation of 225+ cans and other dry goods to donate to local food banks. We have received multiple calls from the community, thanking us for our service and hoping we'll do this next year!

Here at NCF CKI, we are fortunate enough to have a Kiwanis group that truly cares about our success and continues to fund our community service adventures.
Big thanks to John Wild and the rest of the Kiwanis group: we truly could not do it without your never ending support. We hope we make you proud and continue to have a great relationship through community service for many years to come!

February 2014
During the January ISP term, many students are off doing their own sorts of projects. Now that the Spring term has officially started up again, meetings are back full swing starting February 12, 2014. Meetings will be every other Wednesday (so the next meeting would be February 26) at 7PM @ HCL 7.
We have many topics to cover, including helping our Kiwanis club out by volunteering at their Casino Night Fundraiser and the ever-important DCON.
We will be sending EIGHT students to DCON this year. New College CKI is proudly represented by Abby Oakes, Melissa Marquez, Timbi Shepherd, Kellie Cox, Cayle Judge, Melissa Solis Sarah Oldham and Hannah Carlo.
Welcome Spring 2014 Semester!
Live to serve, love to serve! That's the motto here for NCF CKI and that's what our volunteers did on the day of love- Valentine's Day. Thanks to Abby, CJ, Javier, Em and Melissa, our LBK Kiwanis club had a wonderful night of partying, gambling and, most importantly, raising money for local children charities and scholarships!
A special congratulations goes to Javier Dieguez and Melissa Marquez. After a long night of being cashier's, a guest who left the party early gave them her tickets... and they ended up winning the grand prize of staying at the Bellagio hotel for two nights!
Numbers are still being calculated for overall profit for the night, but according to John Wild, it looks promising! Thanks again, everyone, and hope you had a wonderful night of CKI Volunteering!
Valentine's Day in Las Vegas with LBK Kiwanis
Abby Oakes, Melissa Marquez, Timbi Shepherd, Cayle Judge, Kellie Cox, Melissa Solis, Sarah Oldham and Hannah Carlo braved the long car ride from Sarasota, FL to Melbourne, FL for the Circle K Florida District Convention. For a few days these awesome members went to workshops to better themselves, the club and get inspired for future service. A big "thank you" to these people for giving up a weekend in the name of service: way to go!
